Trump
Card Played In Atlanta Condo Market
August
4, 2006 -- New York developer Donald J. Trump, Atlanta-based
Wood Partners, LLC, and Manhattan/Florida-based
Dezer Properties today announced their formation
of a joint venture to develop two condominium high
rise towers in Midtown Atlanta.
The
deal is the first for Trump in
Atlanta
and brings together one of the nation's best known
real estate magnates and two of the nation's most
successful condominium development companies.
The
two towers will be referred to as Trump Towers Atlanta.
The project will include high-end luxury condominiums
with architecture, features and amenities that reflect
the Trump brand and reputation. Luxury, boutique
retailers and destination restaurants will complement
the residences.
Trump
Towers Atlanta will be located at the intersection
of 15th and West Peachtree streets in Midtown, near
the Woodruff Arts Center and a number of high-profile
projects, including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's
proposed hall, 1180 Peachtree and the new mirrored
skyscraper at Peachtree and 14th streets.
Construction
of Trump Towers Atlanta is expected to begin early
next year with the first phase to be completed by
early 2009.
"I've
been looking into the Atlanta market for a while,
and it was important to find partners with strong
reputations, histories of large successes and track
records of developing the highest-quality properties,"
said Donald Trump, Chairman and President, The Trump
Organization.
"I
am extremely pleased to join Wood Partners and Dezer
Properties in developing my first condominium tower
in Atlanta. The project will set a new standard
for luxury condominium living in Atlanta."
In
its eight-year history, Wood Partners has become
one of Builder magazine's top builders in the United
States and was one of the fastest growing between
2004-2005. The company's most recognized high-rise
projects include the Metropolis, Eclipse, Horizon
and Spire in Atlanta; Solaire in Orlando; Edge in
West Palm, Florida; and Glass House in Denver.
"We're
excited to work with Donald Trump and Dezer Properties
to create homes that appeal to those desiring luxury
living and lifestyles," said Mark Randall,
Managing Partner of Wood Partners. "We have
some tremendous projects underway around the country,
but we get a lot of satisfaction out of developing
high-end projects, such as Trump Towers Atlanta,
right here in our hometown."
Dezer
Properties is a New York-based, full service real
estate company that owns and manages commercial
properties in Manhattan and Miami. In 2003, Dezer
partnered with Trump to create Trump Grande Ocean
Resort and Residences in Miami Beach, an $800 million,
11 acre oceanfront hi-rise development consisting
of the Trump International, Trump Palace and Trump
Royale.
